Fleur de Sel
Whether it be plain old table salt or the Frenchman's Fleur de sel (flower of salt), it's the secret to a great bath in any form or language. Epsom and Dead Sea Salt are among the favorite types of bath salts. While these are ideal soaks for magnesium deprived, bone tired bodies, the list of beneficial baths hardly stops there. The silica in horsetail is a great rebuilder of bones, aiding the body in its absorption of calcium. If you're especially achy and remembered to pick up this herbal remedy, add 5 drops of it to your next bath; its concentration of silicic acid, potassium, aluminum salts, flavonoids, equisetolic acid and alkaloids will send those achy, breaky joint pains swirling down the tub's drain. If your concerns are more cosmetic than physical, milk baths work wonders for the skin, cleaning so deep, you could say it's "down to the bone"; the lactic and alpha hydroxy acids in a milk bath promise to whisk away every last dead skin cell.
